Andrei Huțupan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Dorlea in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioan Ursu in the 12th minute of play forced Rapid 1923's goalkeeper Andrei Huțupan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ioan Ursu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrei Huțupan was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Rapid 1923's Augustin Vulcănescu got a free kick in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Rapid 1923's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Dorlea came free, but Andrei Huțupan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Costin Cangeopol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Andrei Huțupan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ioan Ursu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trajan CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioan Ursu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrei Huțupan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augustin Vulcănescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Codrin Dorlea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Huțupan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Rapid 1923's Maxim Mincu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Codrin Dorlea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrei Huțupan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codrin Dorlea got free with Andrei Huțupan in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrei Huțupan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ioan Ursu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Rapid 1923's goalkeeper Andrei Huțupan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Dorlea. Rapid 1923's Andrei Huțupan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Ursu in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Stănilă during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paul Stănilă hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Martin Bușcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trajan CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapid 1923 the free kick. Martin Bușcu kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Ioan Ursu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Codrin Dorlea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Andrei Huțupan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Andrei Huțupan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. The goalkeeper, Andrei Huțupan, was totally fooled by Trajan CSS's Ioan Ursu, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid 1923's zone, Codrin Dorlea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Huțupan came out of the goal and Codrin Dorlea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ioan Ursu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Trajan CSS defense, Eusebiu Abutnăriței kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iustin Stănculescu. The Trajan CSS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iustin Stănculescu should have stopped the shot. The Rapid 1923 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Trajan CSS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
