Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) Răzvan Mitruț made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Galaxy Lupeni getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Cornel Jitaru hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Firu during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MCM.LAZIO booed when Galaxy Lupeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Firu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Vlad Țepeneag who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galaxy Lupeni's Corneliu Vuia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute Vlad Țepeneag shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vuia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Gheorghe Drăghici managed to get in a good position for a shot. MCM.LAZIO's supporters rose to their feet, but Gheorghe Drăghici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Vuia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Galaxy Lupeni's Răzvan Mitruț slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of George Bunescu. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the game, Cornel Jitaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galaxy Lupeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MCM.LAZIO the free kick. The supporters of MCM.LAZIO booed when Galaxy Lupeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Jitaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gheorghe Drăghici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. George Bunescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Mitruț in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Petru Hâldan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlad Țepeneag in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corneliu Vuia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Corneliu Vuia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vlad Țepeneag, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the match, MCM.LAZIO's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Mitruț came free, but George Bunescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Răzvan Mitruț's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Bunescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Răzvan Mitruț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. George Bunescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Gheorghe Drăghici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MCM.LAZIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gheorghe Drăghici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. George Bunescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petru Hâldan in the 70th minute of play. Vlad Țepeneag took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Corneliu Vuia. Corneliu Vuia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Vlad Țepeneag in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Corneliu Vuia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 78 played minutes Galaxy Lupeni got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Conta. After a defensive mix-up in Galaxy Lupeni's zone, Gheorghe Drăghici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vuia came out of the goal and Gheorghe Drăghici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 played minutes Galaxy Lupeni got a freekick which was hit by Cornel Jitaru. Galaxy Lupeni's Corneliu Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Toader in the 86th minute of play. Corneliu Vuia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gheorghe Drăghici showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 90 minute of play. Alexandru Toader received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Corneliu Vuia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the game, Ernest Zorlescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galaxy Lupeni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MCM.LAZIO the free kick. After a rather tough play, Galaxy Lupeni's Ernest Zorlescu got a free kick in the 96th minute. MCM.LAZIO played a much better game than Galaxy Lupeni and deserved their victory. The Galaxy Lupeni players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
