Virsag UFC's Cătălin Bădulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Gogea in the 4th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sabin Dărăscu during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes Virsag UFC got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Dărăscu. Niculae Mohora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Alamaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Mihnea Caba had several of the Virsag UFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Cătălin Bădulescu as he didn't even see the shot coming. Leontin Humă received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cătălin Bădulescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Leontin Humă slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Niculae Mohora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Hârșu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Gavril Zota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virsag UFC's Mădălin Alamaru got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Virsag UFC's Cătălin Bădulescu got control of the ball when Leontin Humă tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th match minute, Virsag UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Tase to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Virsag UFC's goalkeeper Cătălin Bădulescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leontin Humă. Mihnea Caba struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Cătălin Bădulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fundoia. Cătălin Bădulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leontin Humă in the 45th minute. Cătălin Bădulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihnea Caba in the 46th minute of the match. Niculae Hârșu's late challenge caught a Fundoia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niculae Hârșu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Niculae Hârșu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mădălin Alamaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Leontin Humă took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cătălin Bădulescu. Cătălin Bădulescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Leontin Humă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cătălin Bădulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, Fundoia's Leontin Humă made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cătălin Bădulescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Niculae Mohora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Alamaru in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihnea Caba in the 72nd minute of play forced Virsag UFC's goalkeeper Cătălin Bădulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute, Mihnea Caba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Virsag UFC's goalkeeper Cătălin Bădulescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niculae Hârșu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Mihnea Caba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cătălin Bădulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mădălin Alamaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Mohora having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Fundoia got a freekick which was hit by Cristi Gogea. Fundoia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihnea Caba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virsag UFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
