Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Nedelea in the 4th minute of play forced Ripensia UVT's goalkeeper Emanuel Uduleanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Liviu Cornea threw the ball into play from the sideline. FCSB's Radu Hurmuzescu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Sorin Pârlog might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Uduleanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sorin Pârlog ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute, Sorin Pârlog ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Uduleanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mihăiţă Nedelea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Lucian Otopeanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ripensia UVT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCSB the free kick. The supporters of FCSB booed when Ripensia UVT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Otopeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sorin Pârlog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emanuel Uduleanu was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Toader Panin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Bojonca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, FCSB's goalkeeper Toader Panin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alin Dinu. In the 27thth minute of the game Sorin Pârlog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ripensia UVT's Emanuel Uduleanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Calistrat Hojbota fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ripensia UVT's protests and gave Calistrat Hojbota a yellow card for diving instead. Calistrat Hojbota hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Toader Panin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Bojonca, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Lucian Otopeanu hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes Ripensia UVT got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Otopeanu. Sorin Pârlog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emanuel Uduleanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sorin Pârlog, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Sorin Pârlog managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCSB's supporters rose to their feet, but Sorin Pârlog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Uduleanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 45 minutes, Gică Budulea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gică Budulea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gică Budulea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Uduleanu having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sorin Pârlog made a kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Liviu Cornea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ripensia UVT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCSB the free kick. In the 51st minute, Liviu Cornea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sorin Pârlog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FCSB's Radu Hurmuzescu got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Uduleanu was a little too slow when Sorin Pârlog got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 68th match minute, FCSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sorin Pârlog to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute Sever Bojonca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Panin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sorin Pârlog came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the FCSB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Pârlog couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the FCSB defense, Alin Dinu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toader Panin. The FCSB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toader Panin should have stopped the shot. Emanuel Uduleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sorin Pârlog in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Sorin Pârlog got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costin Calciu kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Basarab Stoican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Panin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ripensia UVT getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Calistrat Hojbota hit a great ball.
