Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Otelul Galati's Nicu Calboreanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sever Bojonca succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. When Alin Dinu came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Ripensia UVT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alin Dinu couldn't finish the play. Gabriel Armeanca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Uduleanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alin Dinu in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornel Cioiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Armeanca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Emanuel Uduleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gabriel Armeanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sever Bojonca in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornel Cioiu saved Otelul Galati from getting behind. When Otelul Galati's Nicu Calboreanu, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Otelul Galati. Gabriel Armeanca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Sever Bojonca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Cioiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Armeanca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Uduleanu having to interfere. Otelul Galati's Nicu Calboreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nicu Calboreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Armeancas short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Emanuel Uduleanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half Ripensia UVT were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sever Bojonca made the kick off in the second half. Ripensia UVT's Emanuel Uduleanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Armeanca in the 54th minute of play. Gabriel Armeanca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emanuel Uduleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nicu Calboreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ripensia UVT defense, Nicu Calboreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Uduleanu. The Ripensia UVT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Uduleanu should have stopped the shot. After 69 minutes of play, Otelul Galati's Gabriel Armeanca made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Uduleanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iosif Chiru kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Pompiliu Păltineanu struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Emanuel Uduleanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Otelul Galati. Basarab Stoican hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Gabriel Armeanca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Otelul Galati fully deserved thier win.
