Maxim Andrițoiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Trifănucă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. STEAUA BUCUREȘTI's Eusebiu Chitimia got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Trifănucă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alex Trifănucă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maxim Andrițoiu's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Dan Muja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matei Stoian kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. STEAUA BUCUREȘTI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
