The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Dorin Furdui took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gică Şoimu to make any attempt to save it. If Grigore Voica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. F.C. Ripensia Primavera's Gică Şoimu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Furdui in the 15th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horia Galușcă to make the kick off. Dorin Furdui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Gică Şoimu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mihăiţă Tofan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Horia Galușcă managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Ripensia Primavera's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Galușcă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vlad Ţiţeica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grigore Voica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Vlad Ţiţeica made a huge save. Grigore Voica who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Vlad Ţiţeica when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mihăiţă Tofan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Şoimu having to interfere. Manuel Papaiani hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Mihăiţă Tofan came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Stiinta Barlad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihăiţă Tofan couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the match, F.C. Ripensia Primavera's goal looked a bit too open when Dorin Furdui came free, but Gică Şoimu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Grigore Voica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Tiberiu Andronache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horia Galușcă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Ţiţeica having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Stiinta Barlad players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
