Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Glimbocelu's Iulian Şoltuz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Buta booed when Glimbocelu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Gheorghiță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emil Jitaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristinel Zgabei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Apostol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Glimbocelu's Cornel Gheorghiță got a free kick in the 21st minute. Damian Apostol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Jitaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Cristinel Zgabei made a huge save. Glimbocelu's Cristinel Zgabei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Apostol in the 35th minute of play. Fabian Cioroianu charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabian Cioroianu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th minute Buta were awarded a corner. Claudiu Cercelescu went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Claudiu Cercelescu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristinel Zgabei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Very clever Emil Jitaru succeeded in the 41st minute to sneak a kick past Glimbocelu's goalkeeper making the score 2-0 as the ball drove through the left cross. Buta's Ilie Macarie got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ilie Macarie hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. When Iulian Şoltuz came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Glimbocelu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iulian Şoltuz couldn't finish the play. Alexandru Lupoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Iurie Magheran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 59thth minute of the game Damian Apostol who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glimbocelu's Cristinel Zgabei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iulian Şoltuz might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iurie Magheran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iulian Şoltuz ran back to his position shaking his head. Glimbocelu's Anton Zăreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Jitaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristinel Zgabei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Apostol in the 73rd minute of play forced Glimbocelu's goalkeeper Cristinel Zgabei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Jitaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cristinel Zgabei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Glimbocelu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Cioroianu to maneuver through the defense. Buta were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Glimbocelu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claudiu Cercelescu took the corner. During the 96th minute of the match Fabian Cioroianu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fabian Cioroianu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 97 played minutes Glimbocelu got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Cioroianu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Jitaru in the 98th minute of play forced Glimbocelu's goalkeeper Cristinel Zgabei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 99 minutes of play, Buta's Damian Apostol made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristinel Zgabei was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Buta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Glimbocelu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
