The Buta fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Buta's Emil Jitaru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Basarab Rogoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Magheran having to interfere. Ilie Pietreanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Jitaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the match, FC Victoria Bordusani's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Apostol came free, but Ilie Pietreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Buta's Damian Apostol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilie Pietreanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgar Bădiliță's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Iurie Magheran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Basarab Rogoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Victoria Bordusani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Rogoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Damian Apostol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Eliodor Iorgu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, FC Victoria Bordusani's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Jitaru came free, but Ilie Pietreanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Bădiliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Magheran having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basarab Rogoz made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Emil Jitaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buta's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Jitaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Pietreanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ion Elisei hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ilie Macarie kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Basarab Rogoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Bădiliță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Magheran having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Ion Elisei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Victoria Bordusani the free kick. Ion Elisei hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC Victoria Bordusani booed when Buta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Apostol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilie Pietreanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Apostol in the 67th minute of play. Ilie Macarie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damian Apostol in the 75th minute of play forced FC Victoria Bordusani's goalkeeper Ilie Pietreanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Bădiliță struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Iurie Magheran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Victoria Bordusani. FC Victoria Bordusani's Ilie Pietreanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Victoria Bordusani from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damian Apostol in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Pietreanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Damian Apostol came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Buta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Apostol couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Emil Jitaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Victoria Bordusani's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Damian Apostol scored to the left of an out of position Ilie Pietreanu, making the score, 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Buta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
