Iacob Bârsescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Apostol, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. ASU Politehnica Timisoara's Iacob Bârsescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Jitaru in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to Buta getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ilie Macarie hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cosmin Tofan in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iurie Magheran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th minute Ion Elisei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Bârsescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Apostol scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iacob Bârsescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With 22 minutes on the clock, Luca Jușcă commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 21st minute, one of Buta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buta. A hard shot 27 in the game by Cosmin Tofan from a close distance when the talented Iurie Magheran managed to make a qualified save. Buta's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Buta's Ilie Macarie got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cosmin Tofan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Magheran having to interfere. Dacian Greavu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iurie Magheran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, Buta's Sergiu Jușcă made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iacob Bârsescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gigi Dogaru charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gigi Dogaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, Gigi Dogaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Jitaru to strike the kick off in the second half. Narcis Rednic kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Buta's goal looked a bit too open when Cosmin Tofan came free, but Iurie Magheran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dacian Greavu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ion Elisei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iacob Bârsescu having to interfere. Viorel Gârdan kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. ASU Politehnica Timisoara's Iacob Bârsescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ion Elisei in the 69th minute of play. After 76 played minutes Buta got a freekick which was hit by Emil Jitaru. With an all-out effort, Buta's Iacob Bârsescu threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gigi Dogaru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 82 minutes into the match, ASU Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Iacob Bârsescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilie Macarie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ion Elisei during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Buta's Ion Elisei got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Cosmin Tofan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ASU Politehnica Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Iacob Bârsescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Jitaru in the 90th minute. Buta's Ion Elisei got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, ASU Politehnica Timisoara's Iacob Bârsescu got control of the ball when Emil Jitaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iacob Bârsescu came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Buta's Ilie Macarie. But to his dismay, Ilie Macarie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
