Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bibanul FC's Anton Ignătescu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laurențiu Mercescu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 5th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Bibanul FC's zone, Anton Negru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Colin came out of the goal and Anton Negru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Anton Ignătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Secară during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, FC Baia Mare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Secară to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Dragotescu, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Anton Negru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Petruț Colin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 20 minutes, Laurențiu Mercescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Baia Mare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurențiu Mercescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Laurențiu Mercescu struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Petruț Colin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Baia Mare. Tiberiu Spiridon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Constantin Lipan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bibanul FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ivan Chirițescu hit a great ball. FC Baia Mare's Bogdan Teodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Ignătescu in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Tiberiu Spiridon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bibanul FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 40thth minute of the game Anton Negru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bibanul FC's Petruț Colin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurențiu Mercescu got free with Petruț Colin in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Negru made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Negru in the 55th minute of play forced Bibanul FC's goalkeeper Petruț Colin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Bibanul FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Constantin Lipan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bibanul FC's zone, Laurențiu Mercescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Colin came out of the goal and Laurențiu Mercescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petruț Colin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anton Negru went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Chirițescu during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anton Negru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Colin having to interfere. Marius Secară might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petruț Colin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marius Secară ran back to his position shaking his head. Bogdan Teodor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiberiu Spiridon went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC Baia Mare getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Nicolae Proca hit a great ball. FC Baia Mare's Anton Negru got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Tiberiu Spiridon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bibanul FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiberiu Spiridon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anton Ignătescu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. Bibanul FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bibanul FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Baia Mare had controlled the match.
