The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tudor Cozorici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Avram Iacobescu in the 7th minute of the match. FC UNIREA Custelnic's Dan Liviu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC UNIREA Custelnic from getting a goal against them. Ovidiu Tătăruşanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Dan Liviu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, FC UNIREA Custelnic's Dan Liviu got control of the ball when Ovidiu Tătăruşanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC UNIREA Custelnic's Dan Liviu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Albulescu in the 16th minute of play. Avram Iacobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Petre Orescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tudor Cozorici was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fabian Albulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dan Liviu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC UNIREA Custelnic! The goalkeeper, Dan Liviu, was totally fooled by Corbuletu SC's Dorel Crețu, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Fabian Albulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petre Orescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 minutes, Petre Orescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC UNIREA Custelnic and the Corbuletu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC UNIREA Custelnic getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gavril Cristian hit a great ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Ovidiu Tătăruşanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corbuletu SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidiu Tătăruşanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Jecu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corbuletu SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC UNIREA Custelnic the free kick. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Corbuletu SC! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petre Orescu to strike the kick off in the second half. Eugen Ficsinescu's late challenge caught a Corbuletu SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugen Ficsinescu helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC UNIREA Custelnic's Eugen Ficsinescu got a free kick in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Corbuletu SC's Tudor Cozorici got control of the ball when Avram Iacobescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Tătăruşanu in the 62nd minute of play forced FC UNIREA Custelnic's goalkeeper Dan Liviu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Cozorici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Orescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Avram Iacobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Petre Orescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tudor Cozorici was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Avram Iacobescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petre Orescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tudor Cozorici tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Albulescu in the 85th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Custelnic's goalkeeper Dan Liviu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Cozorici made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Avram Iacobescu sent off a good shot on target. Dan Liviu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidiu Tătăruşanu in the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC UNIREA Custelnic's zone, Fabian Albulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Liviu came out of the goal and Fabian Albulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Corbuletu SC's goalkeeper Tudor Cozorici had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Avram Iacobescu. The FC UNIREA Custelnic players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
