In the 5th match minute, Kadicsfalva UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nistor Nicoliță to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Universitatea Craiova's Nechifor Constantin tried to score from far away in the 7th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Adam Banica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Chifan, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th match minute, Universitatea Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Barbosu to maneuver through the defense. Mihnea Boacă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliodor Velicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Daniël Bergkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mihnea Boacă. Kadicsfalva UFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniël Bergkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Daniël Bergkamps short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Mihnea Boacă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Universitatea Craiova's Costică Bobocea shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mihnea Boacă but with some difficulty. If Daniël Bergkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniël Bergkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mihnea Boacă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ion Andronache's late challenge caught a Universitatea Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ion Andronache helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th minute, Ion Andronache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Costică Bobocea managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Daniël Bergkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniël Bergkamp to make the kick off. Mihnea Boacă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniël Bergkamp in the 63rd minute of the match. If Sergiu Panțâru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Daniël Bergkamp came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Universitatea Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniël Bergkamp couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniël Bergkamp in the 71st minute of play forced Kadicsfalva UFC's goalkeeper Mihnea Boacă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Isac Negulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniël Bergkamp in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihnea Boacă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kadicsfalva UFC's Remus Stamatiu got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Ion Andronache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Banica made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remus Stamatiu in the 80th minute. A collision led to Kadicsfalva UFC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Nistor Nicoliță hit a great ball. Mihnea Boacă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniël Bergkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Ion Andronache hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniël Bergkamp in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihnea Boacă saved Kadicsfalva UFC from getting behind. Eliodor Velicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Boacă having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Universitatea Craiova players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
