Fisca UFC's Mihnea Boștină got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olimpiu Gherase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Olimpiu Gherase who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fisca UFC's Nistor Antipa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olimpiu Proca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Antipa having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Olimpiu Gherase managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pionierul Vulcan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Gherase was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Olimpiu Proca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nistor Antipa, 1-0. In the 35th minute Mihnea Boștină shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Hellgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Antipa made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Olimpiu Proca sent off a good shot on target. Olimpiu Proca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpiu Proca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Antipa having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olimpiu Gherase made a kick off. Ulf Hellgren made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Mihnea Boștină sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th match minute, Pionierul Vulcan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Tofan to maneuver through the defense. Iustinian Cocârlă kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Ulf Hellgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 69th minute, Mihnea Boștină fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulf Hellgren, passed just outside the right post. Nistor Antipa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Gherase, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olimpiu Gherase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Nistor Antipa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Olimpiu Proca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Fisca UFC booed when Pionierul Vulcan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Gherasim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fisca UFC were furious when Augustin Robescu was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 90 minutes into the game, one of Fisca UFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Fisca UFC's Mihnea Boștină got a free kick in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pionierul Vulcan fully deserved thier win.
