In the 13th minute, Marius Isvoreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maxim Ciorogaru hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Codruț Pârlog let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 18th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. If Iordache Ciurea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mihnea Boștină's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marin Oblemenco was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Mihnea Boștină was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Fisca UFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iordache Ciurea made a kick off. Rapid CFR's Marin Oblemenco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Boștină in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Codruț Pârlog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marin Oblemenco was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. After 60 minutes, Mihnea Boștină mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fisca UFC and the Rapid CFR players grew even worse after the yellow card.
