Olimpiu Gherase started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olimpiu Gherase in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornel Lucian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AC Seini's Sebastian Chimeț suffered a sprained foot after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Virgil Tofan charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgil Tofan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AC Seini getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Pavel Jucu hit a great ball. Olimpiu Gherase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Lucian having to interfere. Olimpiu Gherase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cornel Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olimpiu Gherase in the 47th minute of play forced AC Seini's goalkeeper Cornel Lucian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Olimpiu Gherase shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Adrian Calciu in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ulf Hellgren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pionierul Vulcan's Olimpiu Proca got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes of play, Pionierul Vulcan's Olimpiu Gherase made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornel Lucian was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olimpiu Gherase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Olimpiu Gherase managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pionierul Vulcan's supporters rose to their feet, but Olimpiu Gherase was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Lucian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74th play minutes Olimpiu Proca shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Cornel Lucian and just under the crossbar into goal. 78 minutes into the game, Florin Cerghizan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Cornel Lucian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adrian Calciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulf Hellgren having to interfere. Cornel Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Gherase in the 94th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Olimpiu Proca in the 98th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal.
