Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iordache Romanescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Baltian, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 11th minute Niculae Ispirescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Răduțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ionică Codru kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Tiberiu Hurgoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iordache Romanescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Baltian in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Nichifor Ciociu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vali Mendrea during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vali Mendrea kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Niculae Ispirescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codruț Răduțu. FC Cluj Paladins's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niculae Ispirescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 35th match minute, FC Cluj Paladins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionică Codru to maneuver through the defense. Iordache Romanescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Codru, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Panait Trişcu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes of play FC Cluj Paladins's Vali Mendrea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Cluj Paladins's Vali Mendrea got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Panait Trişcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niculae Ispirescu got in the 62nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Codruț Răduțu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. FC Cluj Paladins's Nichifor Ciociu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chinari CSS's Tiberiu Hurgoi got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Aurel Frumuzache fired a really elegant long shot, but Iordache Romanescu threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. After having played for 70 minutes, Panait Trişcu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chinari CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Panait Trişcu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Codruț Răduțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Ispirescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 76th match minute, FC Cluj Paladins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Baniu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Panait Trişcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chinari CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Panait Trişcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codruț Răduțu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ionică Codru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iordache Romanescu having to interfere. Panait Trişcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Codruț Răduțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Eugen Ghimiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match Aurel Frumuzache shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iordache Romanescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Trişcu in the 97th minute of play forced FC Cluj Paladins's goalkeeper Codruț Răduțu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chinari CSS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
