Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Irinel Staicu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Olesti's zone, Eugen Grozuță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octav Gherguț came out of the goal and Eugen Grozuță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horaţiu Oravițan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavius Pantiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Florin Arotăriței hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Mihnea Florean left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Horaţiu Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Găvan in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Irinel Staicu got free with Octav Gherguț in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Octav Gherguț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Grozuță in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Mihnea Florean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Damian Rădescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Licuriciu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olesti the free kick. In the 29th match minute, Licuriciu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Rădescu to maneuver through the defense. Irinel Staicu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Octav Gherguț skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Irinel Staicu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Licuriciu's supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Staicu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octav Gherguț breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Irinel Staicu had several of the Olesti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Octav Gherguț as he didn't even see the shot coming. Irinel Staicu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Octav Gherguț skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Licuriciu's Irinel Staicu in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olesti's goalie prevented a goal. If Irinel Staicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurel Găvan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octav Gherguț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Staicu in the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes, Mihnea Florean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olesti and the Licuriciu players grew even worse after the yellow card. 55 minutes into the game, Licuriciu's Irinel Staicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octav Gherguț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Octav Gherguț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Staicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Irinel Staicu came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Licuriciu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Irinel Staicu couldn't finish the play. Octav Gherguț took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Irinel Staicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 minutes, Irinel Staicu made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Olesti's Octav Gherguț tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Irinel Staicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Licuriciu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
