Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergiu Stoicescu started the match with the kick off. In the 4thth minute of the game Sergiu Stoicescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lyra's Cristian Lupșe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Lyra's zone, Romeo Pârlog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Lupșe came out of the goal and Romeo Pârlog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Lupșe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Pârlog in the 7th minute of play. When Romeo Pârlog came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Crivesti FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Pârlog couldn't finish the play. Sergiu Stoicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Călin Moise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Lupșe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Stoicescu's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Crivesti FC's goalkeeper Traian Ielciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alin Busuioc. Cristian Lupșe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Stoicescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Alin Busuioc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes of play, Crivesti FC's Sergiu Stoicescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Lupșe was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alin Busuioc during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes FC Lyra got a freekick which was hit by Alin Busuioc. Cristian Baran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Baran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Traian Ielciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Lupșe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Stoicescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Lupșe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Pârlog, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Romeo Pârlog recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergiu Stoicescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Lupșe having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Baran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romeo Pârlog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Lupșe having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Lyra's Cristian Lupșe got control of the ball when Romeo Pârlog tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Lupșe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeo Pârlog in the 79th minute. Romeo Pârlog struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Cristian Lupșe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crivesti FC. After having played for 90 minutes, Alin Busuioc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lyra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alin Busuioc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Traian Ielciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alin Busuioc in the 93rd minute of play. If Sergiu Stoicescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Crivesti FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
