Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sergiu Stoicescu started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Gorunesti's Martin Câmpeanu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Traian Ielciu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Gorunesti getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Corneliu Poplăcean hit a great ball. Horia Gârniceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Gorunesti got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Potoroacă. Romeo Pârlog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cristinel Oravițan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristinel Oravițan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Stoicescu's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Romeo Pârlog ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristinel Oravițan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 24th minute Dan Cluceru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Traian Ielciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Câmpeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Martin Câmpeanu came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Gorunesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Câmpeanu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Stoicescu in the 35th minute of play forced Gorunesti's goalkeeper Cristinel Oravițan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gorunesti's Corneliu Poplăcean got a free kick in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Crivesti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Câmpeanu came free, but Traian Ielciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gorunesti getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Cornel Bran hit a great ball. After 44 minutes, Lucrețiu Ichim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gorunesti and the Crivesti FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergiu Stoicescu in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristinel Oravițan saved Gorunesti from getting behind. Gorunesti's Corneliu Poplăcean got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Corneliu Poplăcean off the ground. After a rather tough play, Gorunesti's Corneliu Poplăcean got a free kick in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horia Gârniceanu made a kick off. Martin Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Traian Ielciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gorunesti booed when Crivesti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Ionete didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes in the game, Romeo Pârlog fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cristinel Oravițan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Pârlog got free with Cristinel Oravițan in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Gorunesti's Cristinel Oravițan got control of the ball when Romeo Pârlog tried to sneak it across the goal line. Horia Gârniceanu took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Traian Ielciu. Traian Ielciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Horia Gârniceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Traian Ielciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Emilian Potoroacă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gorunesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crivesti FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Gârniceanu in the 78th minute of play forced Crivesti FC's goalkeeper Traian Ielciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Crivesti FC's Romeo Pârlog nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristinel Oravițan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 85 minutes into the game, when Ivan Voina put in a rough tackle. Cristinel Oravițan had in the 86thth minute some difficulties stopping Pompiliu Soare's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Emilian Potoroacă struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Traian Ielciu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorunesti.
