In the 5th minute, Corneliu Poplăcean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horaţiu Griguță hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Gorunesti's Horia Gârniceanu in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Andreicnst's goalie prevented a goal. In the 16th match minute, FC Andreicnst was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Săvescu to maneuver through the defense. Cornel Todericiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Poplăcean in the 19th minute of the match. Traian Mihăilescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristinel Oravițan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Horia Gârniceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornel Todericiu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 34th match minute, Gorunesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasile Oancea to maneuver through the defense. Cornel Todericiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Câmpeanu's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Cornel Todericiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Gârniceanu in the 43rd minute of the match. Horia Gârniceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Todericiu having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Iacob Ghețea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Martin Câmpeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The FC Andreicnst players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gorunesti were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Câmpeanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Martin Câmpeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornel Todericiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Poplăcean, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Horia Gârniceanu struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Cornel Todericiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorunesti. Cornel Todericiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Câmpeanu's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, FC Andreicnst's goalkeeper Cornel Todericiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horia Gârniceanu. A collision led to FC Andreicnst getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ştefan Săvescu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Câmpeanu in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Andreicnst's goalkeeper Cornel Todericiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Andreicnst's Horaţiu Griguță got a free kick in the 74th minute. Gorunesti's Horia Gârniceanu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Horia Gârniceanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Câmpeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Cornel Todericiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Robert Arieșan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gorunesti's Lucrețiu Ichim got a free kick in the 88th minute. Martin Câmpeanu struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cornel Todericiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorunesti. After a rather tough play, FC Andreicnst's Ştefan Săvescu got a free kick in the 92nd minute. With a little luck, FC Andreicnst's Cornel Todericiu got control of the ball when Horia Gârniceanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The FC Andreicnst fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gorunesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
