Anton Cărtărescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Moșneanu went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute, Filip Moșneanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teobald Bykowski struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Anton Cărtărescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brigada Mobila. Erik Ferreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Nediu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes, Teobald Bykowski made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zlatarei's Anton Cărtărescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Zlatarei's goalkeeper Anton Cărtărescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Moșneanu. Teobald Bykowski did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Anton Cărtărescu 27 minutes into the match. The supporters of Brigada Mobila booed when Zlatarei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Domuță didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes, Niculae Ionășescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brigada Mobila and the Zlatarei players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erik Ferreira came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Zlatarei's Costică Hirean. But to his dismay, Costică Hirean quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 43rd minute Cristo Opilano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Cărtărescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juliusz Julendal got free with Anton Cărtărescu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gigel Nediu fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zlatarei's protests and gave Gigel Nediu a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Zlatarei got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Nediu. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Anton Cărtărescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristo Opilano in the 53rd minute of the match. When Cristo Opilano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Brigada Mobila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristo Opilano couldn't finish the play. Cristo Opilano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Cărtărescu having to interfere. Zlatarei's Anton Cărtărescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Opilano in the 67th minute of play. Costică Hirean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Erik Ferreira made a huge save. Costică Hirean scored 4-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erik Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brigada Mobila's Gică Nițescu was substituted for Filip Moșneanu. Costică Hirean came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erik Ferreira could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gică Nițescu in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Cărtărescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anton Cărtărescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Nițescu in the 95th minute of play.
