Moise Sichitiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cornel Todericiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Sichitiu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Ştefan Hapaina got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Horaţiu Griguță's late challenge caught a FCSA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. FCSA were furious when Dinu Ghițulescu was red carded, 48 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.

FCSA's Codruț Gherghe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save FCSA from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes in the game, Traian Mihăilescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Codruț Gherghe having to interfere. In the 88th minute Traian Mihăilescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Codruț Gherghe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Andreicnst's Robert Arieșan got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Traian Mihăilescu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to FC Andreicnst getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Alin Gârdescu hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Andreicnst eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
