Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sebastian Bîlbă kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Tonegaru in the 3rd minute of play forced Varsesti's goalkeeper Adam Suşu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Bîlbă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Mădălin Ivan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basarab Uzuneanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vintilă Babarada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Suşu having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Aurel Tonegaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varsesti's Adam Suşu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 18 minutes, Răzvan Uncheşelu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varsesti and the Cherba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Varsesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Răzvan Uncheşelu to maneuver through the defense. Mădălin Ivan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Bîlbă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Viorel Ciupe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Cherba's Mădălin Ivan got control of the ball when Viorel Ciupe tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Bîlbă in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mădălin Ivan saved Cherba from getting behind. The corner led Varsesti's Mihnea Zdrenghea to fire away a dangerous shot which Mădălin Ivan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vintilă Babarada was the one to do the kick off. Aurel Tonegaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes, Cherba's Gavril Cârnu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adam Suşu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cherba reached it. Mădălin Ivan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Ciupe in the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Ciupe in the 94th minute of play forced Cherba's goalkeeper Mădălin Ivan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Bîlbă in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mădălin Ivan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cherba's Mădălin Ivan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Ciupe in the 98th minute of play. Varsesti were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
