Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eric Ciulei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciprian Gârbovan in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute of the match, Ciprian Gârbovan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eric Ciulei was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Emilian Vrejiu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Botiz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Vrejiu to maneuver through the defense. Matei Stăniloaie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Ciulei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Botiz's zone, Ciprian Gârbovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Ciulei came out of the goal and Ciprian Gârbovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciprian Gârbovan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, FC Moldova's Matei Stăniloaie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Ciulei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Matei Stăniloaie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matei Stăniloaie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eric Ciulei came out and tried to block the shot, but Matei Stăniloaie slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Ciprian Gârbovan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Ciulei having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Emilian Vrejiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Claudiu Turcu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 40 minutes into the match, Botiz's goalkeeper Eric Ciulei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciprian Gârbovan. After a defensive mix-up in Botiz's zone, Matei Stăniloaie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Ciulei came out of the goal and Matei Stăniloaie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciprian Gârbovan took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Ciulei. Eric Ciulei dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Eric Ciulei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matei Stăniloaie in the 47th minute of play.

In the 53rd minute, Ciprian Gârbovan made a precise shot to the right of Eric Ciulei. Botiz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Eric Ciulei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Stăniloaie in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Ciprian Gârbovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Ciulei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Chioreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Matei Stăniloaie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Ciulei having to interfere. FC Moldova's Ciprian Gârbovan got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciprian Gârbovan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Ciulei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Stăniloaie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Ciprian Gârbovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Ciulei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Chioreanu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Eric Ciulei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Stăniloaie, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
