Spectators: 7570 (Terracing: 5679, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cosmin Popoacă kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Agudin got free with Gelu Doloman in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelian Arseanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Filipoiu in the 11th minute of play forced SS Lazio Sibiu's goalkeeper Ferid İzgü to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Cosmin Popoacă cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ferid İzgü was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SS Lazio Sibiu's Ferid İzgü played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosmin Popoacă in the 21st minute of play. Gelu Doloman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelian Arseanu's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Octav Bunescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Cosmin Popoacă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferid İzgü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cosmin Popoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, SS Lazio Sibiu's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Filipoiu came free, but Ferid İzgü reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Cosmin Popoacă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferid İzgü saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cosmin Popoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cosmin Popoacă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferid İzgü was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Aurelian Filipoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Aurelian Arseanu made the kick off in the second half. Cosmin Popoacă received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferid İzgü came out and tried to block the shot, but Cosmin Popoacă slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 53rd minute. 62 minutes into the match, SS Lazio Sibiu's goalkeeper Ferid İzgü had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurelian Filipoiu. Aurelian Filipoiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Ferid İzgü made a huge save. If Cosmin Popoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 75 minutes into the match, Șerban Bucataru notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of SS Lazio Sibiu's Ferid İzgü. Ferid İzgü was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cosmin Popoacă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferid İzgü read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to SS Lazio Sibiu getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Aurel Ţurlău hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cirtea's Cosmin Popoacă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ferid İzgü. That made the score 0-5 after 86 minutes of play. SS Lazio Sibiu's Aurelian Arseanu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Cirtea left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SS Lazio Sibiu.
