The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Dindelegan during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Botiz! After having played for 11 minutes, Vintilă Babarada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cherba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vintilă Babarada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurel Tonegaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Eric Ciulei made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Botiz's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Babarada came free, but Eric Ciulei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eric Ciulei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Babarada in the 19th minute of play. Eric Ciulei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Arosculesei in the 22nd minute of the match. After 28 minutes of play, Cherba's Vintilă Babarada made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eric Ciulei was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Emilian Vrejiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botiz's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilian Vrejiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mădălin Ivan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilian Vrejiu in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mădălin Ivan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Vintilă Babarada had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eric Ciulei. Botiz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vintilă Babarada was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vintilă Babarada to strike the kick off in the second half. Mădălin Ivan made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Emilian Vrejiu sent off a good shot on target. Eric Ciulei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Tonegaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Vintilă Babarada came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cherba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vintilă Babarada couldn't finish the play. Emilian Vrejiu in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mădălin Ivan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vintilă Babarada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Eric Ciulei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Emilian Vrejiu came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Botiz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilian Vrejiu couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilian Vrejiu got free with Mădălin Ivan in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurel Tonegaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Ciulei having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cherba's Mihail Pantelimon got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Manole Chioreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Ciulei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Tonegaru in the 89th minute of the match. Aurel Tonegaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Eric Ciulei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cherba's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
