Spectators: 6644 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Petru Jder started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vargata's Costin Logofeteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Şuplăcan in the 3rd minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Sotepataka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Şuplăcan to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Vargata's Costică Zgabei tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Isac Senin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Jder, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nistor Corlățean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mircea Şerbănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sotepataka's Mircea Şerbănescu in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 39th minute Nistor Corlățean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Logofeteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lucian Chitila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Senin having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Sotepataka's goal looked a bit too open when Petru Jder came free, but Isac Senin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mircea Şerbănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Logofeteanu having to interfere. Nicodim Drăgoi's late challenge caught a Vargata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Lucian Chitila put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Isac Senin. If Petru Jder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. In the 86th minute, Sotepataka's Horaţiu Şuplăcan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. If Nistor Corlățean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sotepataka were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
