Cristi Mărculescu hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Nistor Chiose was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Petru Jder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petru Jder really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Vintilă Gâgea's late challenge caught a Vorta UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Gâgea helped the player get up and apologised. Vintilă Gâgea hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristi Mărculescu in the 22nd minute of play forced Vargata's goalkeeper Costin Logofeteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Vargata got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Arvinte. After some careless play in the Vargata defense, Nicolae Calomfir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costin Logofeteanu. The Vargata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costin Logofeteanu should have stopped the shot. Lucian Chitila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Chiose having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Lucian Chitila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nistor Chiose was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 39 minutes into the game, Aurel Zmărăndescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vargata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vorta UFC the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Vargata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurel Zmărăndescu to maneuver through the defense. If Octav Dobrica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vargata's Costin Logofeteanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Mărculescu in the 43rd minute of play. Octav Dobrica struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Costin Logofeteanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vorta UFC. The corner led Vorta UFC's Doru Boltașu to fire away a dangerous shot which Costin Logofeteanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristi Mărculescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vorta UFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Cristi Mărculescu hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristi Mărculescu in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costin Logofeteanu saved Vargata from getting behind. When Vintilă Gâgea was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. The supporters of Vorta UFC booed when Vargata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Gâgea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petru Jder hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Costin Logofeteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Boltașu in the 71st minute of play. In the 78th minute, Lucian Chitila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 minutes of play Vargata's Aurel Zmărăndescu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Vargata getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Aurel Zmărăndescu hit a great ball. Vorta UFC's Octav Dobrica got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octav Dobrica in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Costin Logofeteanu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristi Mărculescu in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costin Logofeteanu saved Vargata from getting behind. In the 98th minute Cristi Mărculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Logofeteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
