Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Șerban Voica kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Iulian Vârjean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Laza's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Baștină came free, but Dinu Murgan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laza's Daniel Bala shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dacian Deliman but with some difficulty. Dinu Murgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alin Baștină, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Iulian Vârjean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dacian Deliman made a huge save. In the 20th match minute, Plaic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Teleagă to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iulian Vârjean got free with Dacian Deliman in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nistor Chirtoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tudor Pintilescu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Nistor Chirtoacă struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Dinu Murgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plaic. Plaic's Dacian Deliman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Plaic from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The crowd rose to their feet as Nistor Chirtoacă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dinu Murgan. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Dacian Deliman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iulian Vârjean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play, Laza's Iulian Vârjean made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dacian Deliman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Iulian Vârjean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Deliman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alin Baștină might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinu Murgan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alin Baștină ran back to his position shaking his head. Dacian Deliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Șerban Voica in the 73rd minute of the match. Iulian Vârjean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Deliman having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Plaic's Aristide Arghirescu got a free kick in the 81st minute. Dacian Deliman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Voica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
