The crowd rose to their feet as Tantava's Francisc Negulescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Isăilă. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. Tantava's Grigore Doman got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tantava's Sergiu Cozorici got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Tantava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augustin Macaneață to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Moise Humă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Isăilă was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Tantava's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Vulturar came free, but Irinel Sichitiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigel Alb hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the game, Zsombolya AS's Aurel Niță nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irinel Sichitiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 41 minutes into the game, Aurel Niță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zsombolya AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tantava the free kick. Aurel Niță kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Manuel Isăilă didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tantava's Francisc Negulescu shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-1 in the ordered_time% minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Zsombolya AS's goalkeeper Manuel Isăilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Zsombolya AS booed when Tantava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Macarie didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, Tantava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horia Spelbu to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th play minute Gabriel Vulturar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Irinel Sichitiu. 4-2. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Francisc Negulescu put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Isăilă. Manuel Isăilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Negulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Sergiu Cozorici fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tantava's protests and gave Sergiu Cozorici a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Agudaru got free with Irinel Sichitiu in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Francisc Negulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tantava's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisc Negulescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Isăilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Grigore Doman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Isăilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisc Negulescu in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Isăilă saved Zsombolya AS from getting behind. Gabriel Vulturar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Irinel Sichitiu firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 85th minute, Sergiu Cozorici ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Isăilă was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. In the 89th minute, Gabriel Vulturar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tantava's Horia Spelbu in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zsombolya AS's goalie prevented a goal. Grigore Doman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Isăilă having to interfere. There was no doubt that Tantava were the better team. Tantava's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
