Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Deparati AC's Francisc Martin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 6 minutes, Robert Ionescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izvorasu AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Ionescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silviu Leucuța was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Mihnea Ciobanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mihnea Ciobanu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mihnea Ciobanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Silviu Leucuța tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Hogaș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Caragea in the 15th minute of the match. Robert Ionescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 22 played minutes Deparati AC got a freekick which was hit by Horia Vidican. Silviu Leucuța made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Robert Ionescu sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the game, Codruț Milescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deparati AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Izvorasu AC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Deparati AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codruț Milescu to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Șerban Albulescu from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Silviu Leucuța's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Deparati AC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Horia Vidican hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisc Martin in the 35th minute of play forced Izvorasu AC's goalkeeper Doru Hogaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octav Caragea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Doru Hogaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Mihnea Ciobanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izvorasu AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihnea Ciobanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silviu Leucuța breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robert Ionescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Leucuța having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihnea Ciobanu to make the kick off. Deparati AC's Francisc Martin got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octav Caragea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Doru Hogaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doru Hogaș made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Octav Caragea sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Octav Caragea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deparati AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Octav Caragea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The corner ended in Marian Bărnuțiu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Izvorasu AC's Doru Hogaș did a great save. 2-0 became the score in the 68th minute when Mihnea Ciobanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Doru Hogaș acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 75th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Petruț Tudose. Silviu Leucuța took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Ciobanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisc Martin hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Silviu Leucuța stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Ionescu's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Octav Carageas short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Doru Hogaș to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mihnea Ciobanu struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Silviu Leucuța didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izvorasu AC. In the 93rd minute Francisc Martin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doru Hogaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deparati AC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
