Horia Vidican kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Silviu Leucuța showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Niță, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Gabriel Vulturar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zsombolya AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Vulturar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Gabriel Vulturar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silviu Leucuța was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Manuel Isăilă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisc Martin went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Marian Bărnuțiu fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deparati AC's protests and gave Marian Bărnuțiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Marian Bărnuțiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zsombolya AS's Gabriel Vulturar got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silviu Leucuța was a little too slow when Aurel Niță got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 88th minute Octav Caragea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Isăilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Iulian Sava was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zsombolya AS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deparati AC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zsombolya AS's Iulian Sava got a free kick in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Zsombolya AS getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Mugurel Musta hit a great ball. If Octav Caragea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zsombolya AS's Manuel Isăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Martin in the 98th minute of play. Zsombolya AS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
