Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Șerban Voica started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deparati AC's goalkeeper Silviu Leucuța, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Octav Caragea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinu Murgan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Octav Caragea struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Dinu Murgan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deparati AC. A collision led to Laza getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Dragoş Radu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Voica in the 21st minute of play forced Deparati AC's goalkeeper Silviu Leucuța to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Pintilescu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 27 played minutes Deparati AC got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Chificeac. Silviu Leucuța didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Iulian Vârjean struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Silviu Leucuța didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laza. After having played for 39 minutes, Șerban Voica managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Șerban Voica was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silviu Leucuța made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Daniel Bala sent off a good shot on target. Silviu Leucuța made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Voica in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Codruț Milescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deparati AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laza the free kick. A collision led to Deparati AC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Codruț Milescu hit a great ball. Laza's Șerban Voica managed to work through Deparati AC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Șerban Voica dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Horia Vidican's late challenge caught a Laza's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horia Vidican helped the player get up and apologised. After 48 played minutes Deparati AC got a freekick which was hit by Horia Vidican. Silviu Leucuța was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ion Ghișerel.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisc Martin was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deparati AC's goalkeeper Silviu Leucuța, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Șerban Voica's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silviu Leucuța was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 64th minute of the match Vlad Stoian shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silviu Leucuța showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Laza's Dinu Murgan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Laza from getting a goal against them. Iulian Vârjean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silviu Leucuța made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Voica in the 76th minute of play. Deparati AC's Silviu Leucuța played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Șerban Voica in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Șerban Voica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silviu Leucuța saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silviu Leucuța showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iulian Vârjean in the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Iulian Vârjean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Vârjean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Laza's Șerban Voica in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deparati AC's goalie prevented a goal. Șerban Voica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the game, Laza's Iulian Vârjean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silviu Leucuța made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Laza fully deserved thier win.
