After a rather tough play, Agronomul-BTF's Calistrat Martinescu got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute, Costin Lung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costin Lung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Costin Lung in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Isăilă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ioan Caragea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Ioan Caragea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agronomul-BTF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ioan Caragea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Isăilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Costin Lung left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agronomul-BTF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Zsombolya AS's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Lung came free, but Manuel Isăilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Vulturar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Dincă having to interfere. Cristi Zafiu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zsombolya AS's goalkeeper Manuel Isăilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Zsombolya AS's zone, Costin Lung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Isăilă came out of the goal and Costin Lung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurel Niță made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Costin Lung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Vulturar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tudor Năsturel hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Costin Lung took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Isăilă. Manuel Isăilă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zsombolya AS's goalkeeper Manuel Isăilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Isăilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Dobrica, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Manuel Isăilă successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Calistrat Martinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Agronomul-BTF's supporters rose to their feet, but Calistrat Martinescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Isăilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Costin Lung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Isăilă having to interfere. When Stelian Postelnicu fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Agronomul-BTF's protests and gave Stelian Postelnicu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Stelian Postelnicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Agronomul-BTF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zsombolya AS.
