Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Augustin Spirea took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ion Dindelegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Bogdan Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's goal looked a bit too open when Augustin Spirea came free, but Bogdan Mangra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristinel Tapalagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Sever Mazăre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Setu AC the free kick. Augustin Spirea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Mangra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Denis Muscă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Muscă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Denis Muscă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Cristinel Tapalagă came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Tapalagă couldn't finish the play. Vlad Nechifor kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Denis Muscă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA booed when Setu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Constantiniu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Cristinel Tapalagă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bogdan Mangra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augustin Spirea in the 64th minute of the match. Bogdan Mangra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Stroescu's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. If Cristinel Tapalagă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vlad Nechifor during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA booed when Setu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vlad Nechifor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sever Mazăre kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Bogdan Mangra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Berca in the 83rd minute of play. Augustin Spirea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Stroescu in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Mangra saved CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA from getting behind. Victor Stroescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Mangra having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Stroescu in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Mangra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristinel Tapalagă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Setu AC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
