Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ion Filipoiu got the match started through his kick off. Irinel Hăulică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Horațiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Talp's Stelian Nicorici got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gelu Horațiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Hăulică having to interfere. Stelian Nicorici kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, FC Velos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Frățilă to maneuver through the defense. Talp's Luca Atanasiu got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teodor Focșa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Atanasiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When FC Velos's Gelu Horațiu in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talp's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Gelu Horațiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Velos's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Horațiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irinel Hăulică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gelu Horațiu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Irinel Hăulică when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luca Atanasiu struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Teodor Focșa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talp. Talp's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aristide Drâmba 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 38 played minutes, Talp's Octav Boroș shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodor Focșa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talp reached it. 41 minutes into the match, FC Velos's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Atanasiu came free, but Teodor Focșa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Velos's goalkeeper Teodor Focșa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gelu Horațiu was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC Velos's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Filipoiu came free, but Teodor Focșa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dumitru Cangeopol hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Velos's zone, Ion Filipoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodor Focșa came out of the goal and Ion Filipoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodor Focșa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Filipoiu in the 58th minute of play. If Luca Atanasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luca Atanasiu struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Teodor Focșa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talp. In the 67th minute, Talp's Luca Atanasiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teodor Focșa. Teodor Focșa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Talp were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after FC Velos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Petru Oprița took the corner. A collision led to Talp getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Vintilă Anton hit a great ball. The free kick made by Talp's Vintilă Anton led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Lucian Răchitan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Hăulică having to interfere. The supporters of Talp booed when FC Velos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Drâmba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gelu Horațiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodor Focșa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ion Filipoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Frățilă hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gelu Horațiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Irinel Hăulică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Velos were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Talp to leave the ground with a draw.
