After a defensive mix-up in SS Gașca Nebună's zone, Basarab Negoescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Paulescu came out of the goal and Basarab Negoescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Negoescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Denis Paulescu made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded FC Ripensia Timișoara left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SS Gașca Nebună.
