To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute Ion Filipoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudiu Manciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Ion Filipoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ion Filipoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Erin's goalkeeper Claudiu Manciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luca Atanasiu. Luca Atanasiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Claudiu Manciu made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iulian Sandu was the one to do the kick off. Talp's Pavel Ştefulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Luca Atanasiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talp's supporters rose to their feet, but Luca Atanasiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudiu Manciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Talp's Irinel Hăulică got control of the ball when Răzvan Brașoveanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudiu Manciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ion Filipoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Filipoiu in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudiu Manciu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Costel Cojan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luca Atanasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luca Atanasiu in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudiu Manciu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Talp walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
