A very nice done corner allowed Gavril Otețea to score against Nicodim Şunda in CSU Asesoft Ploiesti's goal. 0-2 after 7 minutes. Nicodim Şunda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moise Guguianu in the 13th minute of the match. In the 17th minute, Emilian Platon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Gavril Otețea might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicodim Şunda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilian Platon in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicodim Şunda saved CSU Asesoft Ploiesti from getting behind. After 27 played minutes Baranesti got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Turlea. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilian Platon in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodim Şunda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in CSU Asesoft Ploiesti's zone, Emilian Platon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicodim Şunda came out of the goal and Emilian Platon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Nistor Curta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicodim Şunda skillfully saved the ball. The CSU Asesoft Ploiesti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Baranesti were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moise Guguianu made a kick off. The nice shot from Emilian Platon in the 51stth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Nicodim Şunda had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After having played for 54 minutes, Emilian Platon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baranesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Platon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the match, Moise Guguianu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicodim Şunda, 0-5. If Moise Guguianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Baranesti's Moise Guguianu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicodim Şunda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Baranesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Lupeanu to maneuver through the defense. Baranesti's Moise Guguianu got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Emilian Platon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moise Guguianu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nicodim Şunda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Leontin Furdui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Moise Guguianu took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Nicodim Şunda to make any attempt to save it. Baranesti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
