Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Costică Mudura took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes AS Roma Braila got a freekick which was hit by Costică Mudura. 6 minutes into the match, Delta Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Mudura came free, but Valeriu Robu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Costică Mudura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valeriu Robu. Delta Rapid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Costică Mudura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Isac Săndoi kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th match minute, AS Roma Braila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Verzeanu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to AS Roma Braila getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. David Verzeanu hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Costică Mudura cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Valeriu Robu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nae Vărzaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valeriu Robu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Mudura in the 25th minute of play. Valeriu Robu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Verzeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, David Verzeanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valeriu Robu. Delta Rapid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Verzeanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Valeriu Robu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Zbârnea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 36 minutes, Ernest Tincu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delta Rapid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Tincu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 minutes, Sever Argăseală mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Delta Rapid and the AS Roma Braila players grew even worse after the yellow card. Valeriu Robu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Mudura, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half AS Roma Braila were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nae Vărzaru made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Delta Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Costică Mudura came free, but Valeriu Robu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, David Verzeanu took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Valeriu Robu to make any attempt to save it. Delta Rapid's Valeriu Robu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Mudura in the 61st minute of play. Valeriu Robu came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Roma Braila's David Verzeanu. But to his dismay, David Verzeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Leonard Dichiseanu's late challenge caught a Delta Rapid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonard Dichiseanu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Delta Rapid booed when AS Roma Braila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Dichiseanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valeriu Robu was a little too slow when David Verzeanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. Costică Mudura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Valeriu Robu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute Costică Mudura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriu Robu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, AS Roma Braila's Costică Mudura ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Valeriu Robu. Valeriu Robu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. AS Roma Braila's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
