An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Zotincă in the 15th minute of play forced AS Roma Braila's goalkeeper Petru Todericiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eugen Mârzac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petru Todericiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tudor Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, TG. Mures ASA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Micescu to maneuver through the defense. If Pavel Oțeteleșanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. Mures ASA's Sorin Glodeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costică Mudura in the 31st minute of play. Sorin Glodeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costică Mudura, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Petru Todericiu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Albert Budac sent off a good shot on target. AS Roma Braila's Sandu Chiriacescu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Budac charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Budac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 38 played minutes TG. Mures ASA got a freekick which was hit by Albert Budac. AS Roma Braila's Petru Todericiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save AS Roma Braila from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Ţopescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TG. Mures ASA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AS Roma Braila the free kick. In the 44th match minute, TG. AS Roma Braila were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
