Delta Rapid's players were relieved. If Augustin Mailat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Augustin Mailat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriu Robu having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Augustin Mailat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valeriu Robu. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 17th minute, Tiberiu Ciordaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeriu Robu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Mailat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Brânza got free with Valeriu Robu in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Delta Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Vâtcu came free, but Valeriu Robu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Augustin Mailat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valeriu Robu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Brusturoasa's Augustin Mailat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valeriu Robu. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play. In the 41st match minute, Delta Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Ciordaș to maneuver through the defense. George Brânza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Valeriu Robu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augustin Mailat to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Brusturoasa got a freekick which was hit by Marin Mălăele. Valeriu Robu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of George Brânza's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Augustin Mailat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Mircescu in the 65th minute of play forced Delta Rapid's goalkeeper Valeriu Robu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiberiu Ciordaș kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Delta Rapid's goal looked a bit too open when George Brânza came free, but Valeriu Robu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute of the match Brusturoasa got a corner. Delta Rapid's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nechifor Dănciulescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nechifor Dănciulescu made a great header on Brusturoasa's corner, it was just that Delta Rapid's Valeriu Robu managed to reach the ball for a save. Martin Ilieș's late challenge caught a Brusturoasa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Ilieș helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Delta Rapid! Delta Rapid's Valeriu Robu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Mailat in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute, George Brânza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valeriu Robu was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0.
