Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cătălin Zotincă kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Eugen Mârzac managed to get in a good position for a shot. TG. Mures ASA's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugen Mârzac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Mărăscu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th match minute, TG. Mures ASA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Micescu to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in TG. Mures ASA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 10th minute. Penalty! In the 18th match minute, FC Burebista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nechifor Bojin to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Mârzac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Petre Mărăscu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cătălin Zotincă in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Mărăscu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to FC Burebista getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alin Olăroiu hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, TG. Mures ASA's Tiberiu Ţopescu got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes, FC Burebista's Basarab Floruțiu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sorin Glodeanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Burebista reached it. In the 32nd match minute, FC Burebista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Floruțiu to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Marin Brezeanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petre Mărăscu skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cătălin Zotincă in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Mărăscu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eugen Mârzac who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Petre Mărăscu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Petre Mărăscu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Zotincă in the 39th minute of play. Cătălin Zotincă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Petre Mărăscu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Burebista's zone, Cătălin Zotincă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Mărăscu came out of the goal and Cătălin Zotincă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Albert Budac charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Budac the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Burebista booed when TG. Mures ASA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Budac didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, TG. Mures ASA's Cătălin Zotincă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petre Mărăscu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nechifor Bojin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sorin Glodeanu having to make a save. In the 63rd minute, Cătălin Zotincă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TG. Mures ASA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 68th minute, Dorin Ghiondea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petre Mărăscu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cătălin Zotincă in the 74th minute of play. If Eugen Mârzac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Zotincă in the 79th minute of play forced FC Burebista's goalkeeper Petre Mărăscu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Burebista's zone, Cătălin Zotincă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Mărăscu came out of the goal and Cătălin Zotincă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Șerban Mantoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Glodeanu having to interfere. Cătălin Zotincă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the TG. Mures ASA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
