Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Augustin Mailat took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ionuț Mircescu's late challenge caught a Runcurel CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ionuț Mircescu helped the player get up and apologised. Ionuț Mircescu kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Brusturoasa's goalkeeper Albert Chesaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorel Popoacă. George Brânza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Ionică Mălaimare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, George Brânza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sorin Cismaș was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Augustin Mailat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brusturoasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augustin Mailat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Augustin Mailat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert Chesaru made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Dorel Popoacă sent off a good shot on target. If Ion Ciocârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute George Brânza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Cismaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Gică Paveliuc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Runcurel CSS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brusturoasa the free kick. After a rather tough play, Runcurel CSS's Gică Paveliuc got a free kick in the 33rd minute. George Brânza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sorin Cismaș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brusturoasa's goalkeeper Albert Chesaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albert Chesaru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorel Popoacă's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After 58 played minutes Brusturoasa got a freekick which was hit by Marian Sârban. When Dorel Popoacă came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Runcurel CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorel Popoacă couldn't finish the play. Dorel Popoacă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ionuț Mircescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 66 minutes had been played. A collision led to Brusturoasa getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ionuț Mircescu hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes Runcurel CSS got a freekick which was hit by Gică Paveliuc. 70 minutes into the game, Brusturoasa's George Brânza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sorin Cismaș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Sorin Cismaș made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when George Brânza sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute of the match Corneliu Baldovin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albert Chesaru showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. George Brânza's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Sorin Cismaș skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 96 minutes, George Brânza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brusturoasa's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Brânza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valeriu Vâtcu struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Sorin Cismaș didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brusturoasa.
