Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cătălin Zotincă kicked off to start the match. Ion Ciocârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Glodeanu having to interfere. Runcurel CSS's Sorin Cismaș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugen Mârzac in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Eugen Mârzac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TG. Mures ASA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Mârzac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emil Cubleșan hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Runcurel CSS's zone, Cătălin Zotincă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sorin Cismaș came out of the goal and Cătălin Zotincă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ion Ciocârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Glodeanu having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cătălin Zotincă in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sorin Cismaș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th match minute, Runcurel CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Cubleșan to maneuver through the defense. Marin Brezeanu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cătălin Zotincă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Sorin Cismaș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Runcurel CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Mârzac came free, but Sorin Cismaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugen Mârzac in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sorin Cismaș saved Runcurel CSS from getting behind. Irinel Ignat hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, Ion Ciocârlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Runcurel CSS booed when TG. Mures ASA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Budac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dorel Popoacă took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sorin Glodeanu. Sorin Glodeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 57 played minutes Runcurel CSS got a freekick which was hit by Emil Cubleșan. After a rather tough play, Runcurel CSS's Emil Cubleșan got a free kick in the 65th minute. Eugen Mârzac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes TG. Mures ASA got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Zotincă. In the 76th minute, TG. Mures ASA's Cătălin Zotincă fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Sorin Cismaș was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ion Ciocârlan in the 92nd minute of play forced TG. Mures ASA's goalkeeper Sorin Glodeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sorin Glodeanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorel Popoacă's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Popoacă in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sorin Glodeanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dorel Popoacă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Runcurel CSS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
