F.C.Juventus Bacau's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Iacob Nicolae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Runcurel CSS's zone, Gigel Bara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sorin Cismaș came out of the goal and Gigel Bara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sorin Cismaș was a little too slow when Gigel Bara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Horaţiu Huțanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Ciocârlan in the 18th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, F.C.Juventus Bacau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Chirilă to maneuver through the defense. If Iacob Nicolae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Runcurel CSS's goalkeeper Sorin Cismaș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Ion Ciocârlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Horaţiu Huțanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to F.C.Juventus Bacau getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gigel Bara hit a great ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Dorel Popoacă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runcurel CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorel Popoacă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Runcurel CSS's Ion Ciocârlan in 31 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Horaţiu Huțanu guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 33rd match minute, F.C.Juventus Bacau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Negrițoiu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Șerban Vornicescu during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dorel Popoacă took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horaţiu Huțanu. Horaţiu Huțanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gigel Bara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes F.C.Juventus Bacau got a freekick which was hit by Luca Negrițoiu. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Juventus Bacau's zone, Dorel Popoacă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Huțanu came out of the goal and Dorel Popoacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorel Popoacă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Huțanu having to interfere. Dorel Popoacă's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Horaţiu Huțanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ion Ciocârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Huțanu having to interfere. Ion Ciocârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Horaţiu Huțanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horaţiu Huțanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gică Paveliuc, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With his leg Horaţiu Huțanu managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Runcurel CSS's Dorel Popoacă fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 77th minute Gigel Bara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Cismaș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes F.C.Juventus Bacau got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Bara. Horaţiu Huțanu made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Dorel Popoacă sent off a good shot on target. Sorin Cismaș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iacob Nicolae, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to F.C.Juventus Bacau getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Leonard Teofil hit a great ball. Dorel Popoacă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horaţiu Huțanu having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Dorel Popoacă got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The F.C.Juventus Bacau fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Runcurel CSS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
