In the 9thth minute of the game Cornel Ciolacu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Argeș FCV's Albert Oprița was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 10th minute, Eusebiu Pavalescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cazimir Cosariu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nechifor Mestecăneanu having to make a save. Cazimir Cosariu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Argeș FCV's Nichifor Albescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nechifor Mestecăneanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albert Oprița didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebiu Pavalescu went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Nichifor Albescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argeș FCV's supporters rose to their feet, but Nichifor Albescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Mestecăneanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cazimir Cosariu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ionuț Mihălțan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Nichifor Albescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Mestecăneanu having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Cornel Ciolacu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Eusebiu Pavalescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iclanzeiu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebiu Pavalescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nichifor Albescu was the one to do the kick off. Anton Boroș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Nechifor Mestecăneanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Argeș FCV's Albert Oprița played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Ciolacu in the 57th minute of play. Eusebiu Pavalescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Oprița having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Cazimir Cosariu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argeș FCV's supporters rose to their feet, but Cazimir Cosariu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Oprița made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornel Ciolacu in the 73rd minute of play. Nichifor Albescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nichifor Albescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Mestecăneanu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Iclanzeiu's zone, Nichifor Albescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Mestecăneanu came out of the goal and Nichifor Albescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 88 minutes into the game, Cazimir Cosariu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Nechifor Mestecăneanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Iclanzeiu's goalkeeper Nechifor Mestecăneanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 97th minute, Cazimir Cosariu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
