Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ion Hârșu started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cerneteaz's zone, George Alexandru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Mineață came out of the goal and George Alexandru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cerneteaz's Sever Mineață proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Cerneteaz from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, George Alexandru put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sever Mineață. In the 12th minute of the match Nistor Ganea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mugur Lucescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 16 played minutes Cerneteaz got a freekick which was hit by Florin Frâncu. After a rather tough play, Cerneteaz's Dragoş Honciu got a free kick in the 18th minute. George Alexandru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sever Mineață tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Ion Hârșu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cerneteaz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Vali Blăniță's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Sever Mineață skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 30 played minutes Cerneteaz got a freekick which was hit by Marin Tutuianu. Sever Mineață showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Alexandru, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Blăniță got free with Sever Mineață in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Sever Mineață managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Nevesteasca's Vali Blăniță fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Cerneteaz getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marin Tutuianu hit a great ball. Vali Blăniță received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sever Mineață tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Vali Blăniță got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Alexandru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigi Ichim in the 53rd minute of play forced Cerneteaz's goalkeeper Sever Mineață to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cerneteaz's Pompiliu Astafei got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cerneteaz's zone, Vali Blăniță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Mineață came out of the goal and Vali Blăniță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vali Blăniță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Nevesteasca's George Alexandru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sever Mineață made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 65 minutes into the match, Nevesteasca's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Hârșu came free, but Mugur Lucescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, one of Cerneteaz:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cerneteaz. 78 minutes into the game, Petru Visarion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nevesteasca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerneteaz the free kick. 78 minutes into the game, one of Nevesteasca:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 79 minutes into the game, Cerneteaz's Nistor Ganea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mugur Lucescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 84th minute of the match Nevesteasca got a corner. Cerneteaz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudiu Hristea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nevesteasca's Claudiu Hristea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sever Mineață in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Vali Blăniță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Alexandru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Mineață having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cerneteaz players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nevesteasca.
