The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aurelian Berca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Bratu in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Fc Dede's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dumitru Todericiu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Mircea Geoană's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelian Berca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Felix Mihaiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Fc Dede's goalkeeper Ernest Stolniciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Todericiu. Dumitru Todericiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelian Berca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Geoană, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 48th minute Anton Bratu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelian Berca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Bratu to strike the kick off in the second half. If Mircea Geoană had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. In the 61st minute Avram Goiciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Stolniciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelian Berca came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc Dede's Mircea Geoană. But to his dismay, Mircea Geoană quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, FC boierasii mici's Aurelian Berca got control of the ball when Mircea Geoană tried to sneak it across the goal line. Avram Goiciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ernest Stolniciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Goiciu in the 75th minute of play. Anton Bratu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st match minute, FC boierasii mici was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Mărăcuță to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Fc Dede's Anton Bratu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelian Berca. Aurelian Berca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Mircea Geoană could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Aurelian Berca made a huge save. Dumitru Todericiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Călin Răuțu charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Călin Răuțu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC boierasii mici booed when Fc Dede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Răuțu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes Fc Dede got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Boc. Ernest Stolniciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Todericiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
